The Vision of Wheelchair Athletics, Inc.
The Ultimate goal of Wheelchair Athletic Foundation is to open a gym facility that will be 100% non-profit and all proceeds will go toward the growth of the gym and the cause of supporting disabled athletes. All members will be able to write off their membership fees on their taxes. This is possible because they will not be joining the gym as members; instead, they will join as monthly, bi-monthly, six-month or annual donors. The non-profit gym is a promising solution to one of the primary challenges facing continuous funding for the non-profit.

1.0 Executive Summary

WCA gym facility will be a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The gym facility will be 100% non-profit and all proceeds will go toward the growth of the gym and the cause of supporting disabled athletes. With a design to be the most handicapped-accessible facility of its kind, this gym will be in a class by itself. The gym will be designed differently than any other gym. All members will be able to write off their memberships on their taxes. This is possible because they will not be joining the gym as members; instead, they will join as monthly, bi-monthly, six-month or annual donors. Only donors will be allowed to use this state-of-the-art facility.

We will buy an approximately 55,000 to 60,000 square foot facility, where we will offer a central, indoor location for guests to enhance their overall health. The facility will include strength circuits, free weights, multi-station, single strength machines, benches & racks, plate loaded, group cycling bikes, elliptical cross trainers, exercise bikes, steppers & climbers and so much more. It will also feature Group Training, Merchandising, Stretch Area, Boxing Studio, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Smoothies & Protein Shake Area, Racquetball, Basketball Court, Locker Rooms, Tanning, Showers, Daycare/ Childcare Center, Yoga Area, Spin Room, Group Exercise Room and other many amazing features. WCA will also offer specialized special rehabilitation programs.

Parents, athletes and the general public are always looking for the next best thing and to get an edge. Sports, recreation and good health are in demand and will continue pushing people's physical limits with a mindset to achieve optimum results. This facility will be able to provide them with the essential tools necessary to help them achieve those goals. This indoor facility will cater to the increasing need of individualized skills training on a year-round basis. WCA Gym Facility will provide a quality indoor training environment for serious athletes and
amateur enthusiasts. We project a conservative facility usage of 20% for the first year and a 25% growth rate for the second year. The WCA Gym Facility is a business that will flourish in the growing sports environment and average community that just wants to stay in shape.

WCA currently has a few competitors within the service area, such as Gold's Gym, 24-Hour Fitness and a few others. However, they cannot compete with the non-profit, tax-exempt structure. Ninety percent of the population has a gym membership or has had a gym membership in the past. If you had a choice of working out at a 30,000 square foot gym that you had pay for versus going to a 60,000 square foot gym with the same cost and knowing that you could write your expense off on your taxes, which facility would you choose?

We believe opening a non-profit gym will lead the community to want to get in better overall health and feel good about supporting an amazing cause. Once the word circulates, the non-profit gym facility will grow naturally by its own nature. Obesity is one of the leading health issues in today's society. The non-profit gym will simultaneously benefit the community as well as provide financial support to disabled athletes in the USA. Imagine how amazing this would be, supporting a cause that will leave a legacy.
